    Aperture 3

there are several ways in which you can add a watermark. one is in-built into the app. you need to create an image to be used as an alpha-channel mask and that can be applied on export. it can also be done much quicker, and with more flexibility using a specific plugin such as impression...

    Aperture 3

after several days of using it, i'm very, very happy. it's much faster, has presets similar to LR, and fixed a lot of annoyances that we learned to live with in A2. once people figured out to import library and turn off faces during the import, and then reprocess on a library-by-library basis...

    Aperture 3

upgraded. once all of the previews and face detection is completed, it's reasonably fast. it still relies on core image, so you need a fast video card. btw you can upgrade it directly from within the application - no need to buy from shop. they provide the serial immediately. it takes a...

    Studio Shoot

facial features are compressed (distorted proportion) so i'm guessing something long. 70-200 f/4?

    Alternative to Canon Tilt-shift lens

i picked up an arax online a couple of years ago. the quality is really nothing compared to the canon. are you looking for architectural photography, or 'mini model scenes'? btw there are also adaptors from companies like Hartblei that enable tilt or shift using medium format lenses.

    85mm f1.4 CZ ZE vs. 85mm F1.2L Mark II

fwiw - i have the eg-s screen on my 5dmk2 and i can focus my ze wide open quite easily. note the cosina-made 'ze' version is similar in 6/5 design, but not exactly the same as the kyocera-made c/y & contax mount version. many of the reviews around the net compare the latter, older version...

    1D Mark IV Shutter Count

when forking out the kinda of money for a 1 series body, i would hope your friend would have knowledge enough to know if the body had shot 9000 frames. when i picked up my 1dmk2 i was a bit irked as it had 18 shots by the shop demonstrating the shutter to somone else. but after well over ~...

    Lens Align?

either order it from overseas - or better yet, print out a focus chart, mount it at 45 degrees and save yourself a mint.

How likely would a new 35mm L be released soon?

my 24-70 is wickedly sharp wide open at about 55-60mm, but just sharp at other focal lengths. the downside is it starts to mildly pin cushion at that focal length. while the 35 f/1.4 is possibly not quite as sharp as some primes, micro-adjusting it with a focus scale on a 45 degree angle (with...

Which brand/model of camera strap do you have/own now???

i don't think you'll find any at any of the crumpler stores. you might check some of the retailers who carry them. for example in oz, i'd recommend to go to David Jones - they always had more stock than the crumpler shop itself

Which brand/model of camera strap do you have/own now???

several crumpler industry disgraces (original camo and also digital camo) on different MF and DSLR bodies. also use RS DR-1 either with two bodies, or split for one. wrist straps for rangefinders. i wish i could replace the rs neckstrap part with the crumpler one - it's muich more...
