A7r mk2

It would be very kind of you if you can tell me how to program the settings for the memory mode... I have tried many times but couldn't get it to save. The settings change every time I switch the mode to something else then switch back to memory mode.

The procedure is:
1. Choose a basic mode you want to save, turn the knob to the mode (A/P/S/M/Movie)
2. Set every setting as you like (note some settings cannot be recorded in Memory, they are global, like FN settings, Custom key settings, Lens Compensation, etc)
3. Go the Menu and choose Memory, this bring you to the Memory interface and show 1,2,M1,M2,M3,M4 on the top, then choose which memory you want current setting to be saved. Note that M1-4 are stored on card, so if you change card, they are not able to be recalled.
4. Press center button to save the Memory.
5. In the future you can turn to Knob to 1 if you want to recall Memory 1 or Memory M1-4. turn to 2 if you want to recall Memory 2 or Memory M1-4

I've sold my 5d3 after 2 weeks of using the a7r2 :p. Yes the af is that good. Some lenses af feels even faster than the 5d3

Now I am thinking of selling my 1DX...

Note: if you format the card, you will also lose the M1 to 4 settings. Only 1 and 2 will remain. So to delete the photos rather than format if you want to keep M1-4.

1Dx is totally different with A7R2...
If one wants to sell 1Dx for A7R2, maybe he shouldnt buy 1Dx in the first place...

I agree..both cameras are for different applications.

You cant expect the a7rii to AF like 1Dx. What is your main use with 1Dx?

haha actually with the a7r2 and native FE lenses, the AF is comparable to the 1Dx! 399 PDAF and tracks very well. more accurately than the 1DX and 5D3 which i owned previously.

Ok, maybe i asked in the wrong thread. But since i am interested in this version, i thought maybe someone has already tested it out in Tassie or NZ. How about mark 1 version?

There are quite a few comparisons online and files to download but personally, i don't find any difference unless you shoot at +-5EV and then there is a slight difference. Basically, it's pointless for 99% of the time and the filesize is plain ridiculous
