Foveon X3 sensor user thread

Nice one

Thanks :)

Is the SD1 body alone brand new at $1.1K before GST worth a try?

Used to be a very expensive body ( I think it as D800 type price IIRC)
Then Sigma back tracked on pricing and slashed it down to about $2K+ if I am not wrong.

I'm unsure of this camera.
I thought of it initially, but I knew I could not use it as my only camera (too big and too slow)
For a pure landscape person, maybe it will be ok.
But for the generalist shooter (various genres) like me, I settled for the DP1m.

New Foveon convert here..very happy with what i can get with these wonderful camera.:)

Welcome! :)
Do post more and keep the thread going.
Its not the latest camera out there, but I don't think there is much "latest" out there with its unique IQ.

Old Bank -Kamakura by jenkwang, on Flickr

Old bank, in a position and architecture straight out of those old movies.
Was there a requirement for banks and post offices to be located at the junction in the past?
(I think we have some like these in the CBD too)

May I know what processing was done if any? Thank you.

Some minimal post processing like toning, sharpening and noise reduction was done on Lightroom using the TIFF file i convert with Sigma Photo Pro. Actually, i am quite noob in post process. Usually I will just applied the same settings for the whole batch i took for the day. :)

Two photos taken about two years ago with my former DP2M:

I really miss my DP1M and DP2M, hoping to get another set once budget allows.
