1 film camera which I haven't gotten to use yet.

For me , 4 is the maximum I should have being a casual amateur shooter.

I have 2 DSLRs, bought 3.5 years apart. The older one is still in use. I still have it because the offers I got in BnS did not justify selling it at so low offers. When a DSLR is good with low shutter count, selling it is secondary. Before these two I had many years of travel photos taken with a few favourite compacts (Lumix FX-1 & FX-33; S95 & S100). In film days, I had countless rolls of travel photos taken with the IXUS APS compact. Going forward I see myself using the G1X Mk II more & more for travels and the DSLR for specific shots at specific places when needed.

My rules are : 1. One comes in, one must go out. If nothing can go, I shouldn't buy that new body.

2. Never , never ever go into debt to buy camera equipment as I'm just a casual shooter.

3. Once buy Liao , shoot to get back the value lol. I bring one camera out everyday.

Fully agree with all three points, already practising no.2 and 3. I would do well to hold more strongly to no.1 though!

For SLR at one point of time have 7 SLRs; 3 full frame, 1 dx, 2 film, 1 medium format

Now trim down to 3 full frame and 2 film. Using for work.
