Large tripods and huge bazooka lenses are for authorized media photographers only who have allocated photography area.
They strictly do not allow professional equipment up the sky suite for safety reasons, mainly because directly below the sky suite are usually the grandstands filled with people. They even go to the extend of serving champagne in plastic flutes up there.
The last thing you want to do is surrender your expensive gear to some security at the gate.
So yeah, my advice:
- Bring you compact cam. Snap some great pics of the view from up there
- Don't lug around huge equipment, it is gonna get hot and if you want to watch the concert it's a long walk from where you are.
- Enjoy the race, get drunk from the free flow of booze.

What Not To Bring
For safety reasons, certain items are not permitted in the Circuit Park.
These items include:
Any large or bulky items
Corporate or commercial flags or branding
Laser pointers
Pets
Articles prohibited by Singapore law (example: fireworks, flares, weapons, etc.)
Videographic or photographic equipment for professional use
