I never shoot my shoes but I haven't noticed vibrations like that when focusing.
i guess vibration is a wrong description but could you feel the focusing motor when it is focusing?

No but that doesn't mean much coz I wasn't looking for it. I know what you mean, I know it from other lenses and bodies.i guess vibration is a wrong description but could you feel the focusing motor when it is focusing?

tomcat said:Maybe it's the sound of the IS in action.
tomcat said:Lens IS does vibrate or hum and can be discernible to those who are particularly sensitive or pay close attention eg Canon and Nikon lenses
tomcat said:You're right. It actually doesn't. Pity since the IS in the X20 is really effective. If the X100s has IS like that, it would be really good for handheld night shots.
