No but that doesn't mean much coz I wasn't looking for it. I know what you mean, I know it from other lenses and bodies.
I bought from click cameras, called them back to inquire and they said its normal. Any current X100s can clarify? Its during focusing you could feel the motor working. Not being paranoid but since I don't encounter this on my other cameras, this makes me worried a little.

Anyway, I think there is a good chance you're too paranoid about it. As I said already, other lenses on other bodies behave the same (e.g. Leica 45/2.8 + GH2). There is nothing you can do about it now anymore, just enjoy your camera!

Lens IS does vibrate or hum and can be discernible to those who are particularly sensitive or pay close attention eg Canon and Nikon lenses
Set them on continuous IS and they would hum more. Anyway, it's very simple to confirm or eliminate this as the cause - switch off the IS in the X20 and see if the vibration goes away.
I guess the joy of getting it in my hands overlooked the proper checking procedure of the camera. anyway thanks guys, shall just enjoy with what I have now.

You're right. It actually doesn't. Pity since the IS in the X20 is really effective. If the X100s has IS like that, it would be really good for handheld night shots.
