nope.. I wanted to move on to another area, took my bag and didn't know that it wasn't fugging zipped!! then everything came out, with the 50L rolling towards the sea. I quicky dive to save it (1 sec slower and I am dead), the only thing that went to the sea was the battery cap.

scared the hell out of me.
the saying is always true - the new wont come until the old one goes. ;p ;p

I was some distant away then suddenly heard a loud sound follow by the guy screaming.
I turned and see, luckily he manage to get hold of his camera.either he mounted it unstable or he wanted to remove his camera.

I guess it should be unstable.. haha.

woah.. then better be careful next time. if it rolled into the water, i guess it is as good as no return. at least if drop, it can still be repaired.

yup. will be dead careful next time..

Sounds very dramatic! I'm glad that you managed to save the lens. :)

I am sure that there is a ton of camera equipment that has fallen into the sea over the past few years especially around the Marina Bay area. I wonder if the fish have learned to take photographs.

Too busy bioing XMM???? Nope... If I bio, I use 600mm..... :sticktong

lol 600mm to beo XMM.. very very intimidating :bsmilie:

Guys, I am very impressed with 5dmk3 !
Coming as a user from 5dmk2, I can say it worth every cents.
Iso at 25600 is still very good (mk2 3200)
And the shutter lag is so much lesser.
$ well spent. No regrets.

Those who came upgrading from 1.6 crop will definitely feel the AF improvement.mNot so much for the 1D users.

But nonetheless, it AF system is indeed a very significant upgrade from 5D/5D2 :)

Anyone knows if we can zoom in/out while taking video? I can't seems to keep my subject in focus every time I zoom in/out.

Video is manual focus only :) Once you zoom, need to manual refocus…it's a skill and i believe there are "professionals" hired just to focus when zooming for videos

depends on your lens. some lens retain the focus when u zoom out. btw this doesn't mean if your subject move out of the dof, the focus will follow the subject.

From 7D to 5Dmark3
I must said both af system is really quick. Really love the iso performance of the 5Dmark3. i am glad i bought the 5Dmark3.
