How to view and edit Sony RAW files in Mac OS X?

Hi all

I just bought a Sony NEX-5N and shot RAW while playing around with the new toy. I'm surprised that my Macbook Pro running latest Lion is not able to import the ARW files. I can't import using iPhoto and Lightroom, neither can I open the file in Photoshop. I can't even view the thumbnail of ARW files in the Finder.

What must I do, or install in order to do the above?

If the finder doesn't support, it is natural. I see that lightroom 3 does support quite a number of Sony nex with the latest camera raw 6.5, found at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.html it normally takes awhile before operating systems adopt it.

Did you install the latest camera RAW? Still though, I don't think Adobe has updated it yet.

You could use a dngconverter:

Download the latest Adobe RAW support files AND since iPhoto can't support it (happened to me), you can't import via iPhoto either. Use IMAGE CAPTURE (comes with every Mac OS) to pull the files off your camera.
