confused. anyone noes y raw file CR2 cant b opened in CS4?? however, i have no problem opening tif format from a diff body. help pls..

Even if your camera is not the 5dmk2, what you need to do is to update Camera Raw software. That is generally the issue.

Next time provide more details: - which camera body? Is your software up-to-date? etc

Tif is not a camera or application specific format, CR2 is a Canon specific format. That's the main difference - and the root cause of the problem. Update Adobe Camera RAW or get the free Adobe DNG converter. DNG is a neutral, royalty free format for RAW files (developed by Adobe) which can be opened by all other Adobe products.
