If u don't mind me asking, u have this round dark spot in your before shot. Is it a dust spot in your camera?

I see this spot on some of my photos, so I do wonder what it is.

It's the dust in the sensor, when you shoot in f/8 - f/11 ..., you will see it. You can't see it if you use f/2.8-f/4.0. You may clean it yourself or take the camera to Canon/Nikon Service Center.

Thanks. Just use blower?

wow... i like the moon..dun mind me asking.. how come the moon is within some black area in the before shot?

oh that was artifact with doing a HDR on that photo.. but the enhancement made it that way...

Kinda like it as it reminds me of the senkai gate/garganta in the Jap Anime Bleach.. where the hollows climb out from :p

here is recent pp done on a headshot during the thaipusam procession.
the original colored version of the photo wasnt impressive at all.

Nice! Think this is the best pp I have seen here. Simple and not overly dramatic for the sake of it but just enough to enhance it. Thumbs up!

My first post in this thread...

hi all, may i know how you guys sharpen your pics without losing quality? do u use photoshop or lightroom? i find that my hands are shaky and naturally my pics are shaky. when i use unsharp mask on photoshop, images are not as crisp as the ones i see here.

is there a preferred way to sharpen? maybe i have been doing it wrong.

As far as I know, I think u got to get the shot as Sharp as u can in the beginning if u want your shots to be as crisp as some u see here.. so u got to find a way to reduce that shaky hands of yours..

But I'm just a noob in PP.. maybe the seniors here have a way to make these shots Sharp..

try to ensure your shutter speed is faster than 1/focal length. this should help to minimize blur images

after you have did unsharp mask, try sharpening again using highpass filter on selective areas

hope this help :D
