Anybody knows the specific location of the abandon railway which is frequent by photographers and whether the place is still accessible by public

Thanks

Parts of it run through Sunset Way (near Clementi St 14), over the canal, along the Ulu Pandan Park Connector, Faber Walk/Terrace. Do a search -- there was a recent thread with detailed info.

oops...
sorry
the actual place should be Bukit Timah Railway...
wonder if anybody knows if the place is open to public? or its gazetted as private property?
anybody went in for a shoot lately?

If you meant Bukit Timah Railway Station(Beside King Albert Park),its still open.Just walk up to the station master's office, greet him,and ask for permission to shoot...

You can actually trek from Bukit Timah Railway Station all the way to Sunset way... if I'm not wrong, its about 5km trek, just keep walking in and u will spot a dumping place on the right aft the station, keep going in and you will spot the tracks hidden among the bushes.

Hi. I am planning to shoot there tomorrow. So I just park at the train station and proceed to the station? Then climb down onto the tracks?

depends what kind of shoot you are talking about as the Bukit Timah line is still operational so shooting while on the tracks is highly inadvisable. If you just want to photograph the train station and all that should be fine as long respect the property.

Actually I only plan to shoot the tracks with the greenery flanking it.

Is it safe to shoot on the old railway bridge? I think can park at clement arcade and walk there

Looks dangerous. Is there any other location that I can shoot the tracks flanked by greens?

Just after the bridge should be what you are looking for...the one that runs parallel to a footpath or the few metres of rails that lead up to the bridge. If you are creative enough, you could make it work.

Went to checkout the used tracks. Not really what I wanted. So proceeded to the railway station itself. Ask for permission from the station master. Nice Malay chap. And started shooting!! Had great fun!
