Hi people ... my 6 year old messenger bag has decided to call it a day so I'm the market for a replacement ...

Any recommendation? Looking for a medium-sized one, durable with a decent number of internal and side pockets ...

What are the places which I can find a good selection?

Thanks in advance again people! :)

to add on, the only thing that i have NOT tested yet, is to throw it in water and see if it floats

Been using Freitag for years. If you want individuality, I would recommend this. Every Freitag bag is made of recycled tarp so every product is unique. :)

How about Timbuk2?

Second Timbuk2.

Got a messenger and backpack from them, love their design to small details and pockets!

You can custom your bags (with a premium of course- thru their US site).

How about building one urself???? :bsmilie:

Joking, anyway, best is go and shop and feel urself.....

wow the acme courier looks great! but looks like an invitation for ppl to steal your stuff haha....

okie looked up the website...wow the internals look great!

tenba is nice and big.. and you can also fit camera gear in it.

otherwise i'd go for timbuk2. the M size ones fit up to a 17" laptop and other things like water bottle, laptop charger, a book, umbrella, etc. been using one for my mobile office for more than 2 years and it's still going strong. the material isn't abrasive like the crumpler bags, and won't damage your clothes. the fabric also has better water proofing compared to crumplers, and won't absorb any water. this also means that it doesn't get stained so easily!

how about a tenba

I am using the messenger small.. I can fit, 50d no batt grip, 70-200 f4l is, 50mm f1.8, sigma 17-70 f2.8-4, tokina 11-16 f2.8 and canon 580 ex mk2 flash plus a tupper ware of batteries flash triggers and 2 extra camera batts.

Looks good, is there a compartment at the back for documents? Also, where to get this locally?

It can hold a 17 inch laptop I think. Just to show the depth, A 50d with 70-200 f4l is mounted with not lens hood is able to be put into the bag with it closed nicely.

I heard tenba is not available anymore in Singapore. But you can go to jb johann photo at angsana to get one.
