hi guys,

i reached BKK today walked ard MBK went to fotofile n big pro photo
yet to go PANTIP PLAZA, most prob will be going tml


the following price was quoted to me SGD$553 n $545

i'm not sure whether to get it down here, or should i wait till i come back singapore as im not too sure abt the price back in singapore

i've checked te price guide from marketplace, the price is 630 caa Aug 10


please advise :)

For that price difference, I think it would be better to get in Singapore. just a few tens of difference. Either that or go for grey set.. cost about 500 in artworkfoto I think.

SGD$630 should be the non-VC version. Please be careful when buying lenses/camera in Thailand. A lot of shops ONLY sell grey sets, best to check before buying. Just ask them about the warranty, if their reply is "shop" then its grey. Apart from that, do remember that you CANNOT claim VAT refund of 5% at the airport if you buy grey sets. Several places you can look for camera/lenses would be Pantip Plaza (near Platinum Fashion Mall, Ratchathewi BTS), Fortune Town (Rachadaphisek Road, Phra Ram 9 MRT) and Digital Gateway (Siam Square, Siam BTS) :)
