1. in what area is critique to be sought?

mainly on feel and composition

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?

i hope i can achieve a little of myserious feel with this peice of work.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)

i was playing around with candles and the idea of a hallway form up by candles might look nice..,so i attempt to set it up and took this.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture

i didnt think much of it as i shoot it according to my feel..,but on the overall..,it gives me a sense of mystery.

To me the front two candles are not aligned with each other.
Don't know whether is it an illusion or not. =/

But still nice shot! =D

but i think to add some mystery you need to have it not too dark... maybe slightly can make out a shadow of sth or the back ground... now it just shows the lights..

thanks alot..!,yea did notice that too..,maybe ought to straighten the alignment when i take such shots in the future

heya thanks!,actually i darken it because on the background is mycupboard..,and it looks very distracting.,maybe try such shots on a bigger area already..,thanks for your opinion.

but i would like something to be infocus...
cause now i dont have anything to focus on so its a blurr image

there is smthing harry above the last 2 candles... do watch out for that, if u print it out in a large scale, you will be able to see it

but nice concept
