B+W ND110 77mm Filter

anyway lee filters now has ND110. Saw it in a mag recently. Seems like just launch this year.

The Lee's Big Stopper is selling at S$188 in CP.

But that exclude the holder and ring......which cost around the same.

Thank you Leong for the info and I reckon the Big Stopper gives better control in color casting comparing to Hoya and B+W.

Guess the money paying for this glass worth it to reduce the casting problem..

Agree. I'll try hoya next time coz i'm having a hard time PP'ng the WB of nd110..
Hoya imho gave justice to the colors of seascapes if its not b/w..

LEE looks attractive but ill just stick to what I have now as the output of LEE looks similar to what Hoya is giving...

Both are glass material, drop both tell me which one won't break? The idea is - handle with care no matter what.

Well there's advantage to both round and square. Round you can fix it up comfortably at home or in a safe location before going out to shoot. But square means technically you can use it on ANY lens within the maximum width constraint.

ohh i mean the way i store and transport the filters (not dropping the filters)... round filters i can fix on to the lens then close it with the lens cap and move around ... but sq filters like kinda hard to store and move ard? i can be quite rough while on the road... i dun trust my bag cos sometimes i may accidentally sit on it (my cam not in my bag of cos haha) :x

Maybe put them in a hardcase (wrapped with protective cloth material first)? But I think it could be a personal preference thing. Come to think of it, I better start looking for a suitable hard casing myself!...:think:
