Wurdelak - as always, good shot of the cathedral!
The name is called ZigViewR digital angle finder.

Just for laughs... here is a video of dibyogahari trying out this gadget with Lx3ChuA, Fatigue, LowLights, Dennis and Bulldog988 looking on - poison from Teerex!

USD 130 ....http://cgi.ebay.com/ZIGVIEW-R-DIGIT...igital_Camera_Accessories&hash=item563d4777cf

Thank you very much, SK1968.
There is another one, the latest flippable Zigview S2 for Nikon cameras.
Price is US$150, not including shipping.
This price sounds not bad, considering it's the newer generation rotatable, flippable LCD screen.
Here is the link on ebay

Wooo... i am also interested to have this very useful gadget.. ;p

Will someone from this group post something in the "Member Non-Profit Mass Orders" @ http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=106, so that we all can buy/have it for ourselves together to save shipping cost?

Dear bro fatigue and everyone, Thanks for your concern and help.

Thanks God... it was found by a friend whom i have given him my Lowepro shoulder bag (unknowingly my lensbaby was inside it).

I will be getting it back from him today.

Cheers!

That's good news

Thank you, friends ... :)
It's my honor to be part of the CS iR group outing ...
I really enjoyed it ...

Special thanks to Francis247 for organizing it ...
Also to limwhow for this special report, funny pictures and thread ... :)

I'm now @ home in Bandung, Indonesia ...

Agree with you I do, dibyogahari - the credit goes to Francis247 for organising this successful outing.
And certainly thanks to you for your very invaluable advice on my IR shots.
I have been positioning my histograms so that the peaks are on the left 1/4.
And there were absolutely no hot spots despite using f/8.0 on my Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye.
In fact, I was personally very very surprised to see so many IR shooters using this lens during this outing.
Heng ah... I didn't buy the wrong lens...!

I am so glad you got your lensbaby back, SurrealDreamWalker.
And fatigue, now you know why our good friend is looking for this ZigViewer thingy...
cos he no need to spend money to buy a new lensbaby already! Hahaha...

Looks like you guys had helluva fun..I couldn't get myself out of work on Friday :(
Yah, geekbrains. But I am sure Teerex and Francis247 will be organising more IR outings.
Don't worry lah!

My goodness.
You are so lucky to find a XMM to IR!
Sharp and good skin tone. This one is ELP?

Thxs bro this was shot by a ELP... Far far away @ 300mm with the help of the IR flash... I got a few but all CMI... :(

Did not shoot much that day, so have only a few snaps to share with you guys. I'm using a mod D70 with Goldie, now prefer to pp it in duo-tone with some gaussian blur.

Changed my filter again, will try to do some test shots and share with you guys as soon as I can.

#1 Normal Goldie channel swap with enhanced blue for the sky.

I am partial to this scene, Teerex!
It's the lead-in lines that makes this composition appealing to me.
Hmmm... I have never tried Gaussian blurring IR photos. May I ask how much blur do you apply?
Also. this Duotone processing - can you tell me a little more about it?
Thanks, Teerex!

Thanks, Teerex!

I work with JPEG imiage, don't shoot RAW.

Duo Tone:- CS3, top menu -
1. Image>Mode>Gray Scale. Choose Discard Colors. Photo will change to BnW/Gray Scale.
2. Image>Mode?DuoTone. Window opens, choose the type of duo tone you want. I use the default of black/pantone. You can click on the colors for variations. I choose this for the sepia like effect.
3. Image>Mode>RGB. Change image back to RGB.
You should see the duotone effect in your photo.

Gaussian Blur:-
1. Filters>Blur>Gausian Blur.
I use 30% blur.
Adjust the Radius for the amount of blur you want.
That's it.

Of course you can use layering for non destructive PP. But I'm too lazy so do direct PP.

Need more info let me know.
