1. Sony camera is it cheaper in Tokyo?
2. Does it have international warranty?
3. Does it have english language?

3. Most likely not if it is Japan unit. Same as the model sold here dont have japanese menu.

Bought SONY VideoCam SR12E from Aikihabara.
Here SONY retail at $2699
Bought for $2000 after conversion. (But now Yen is stronger)

Please ask for export model with english menu.

1. Depends, exchange rates and shop offer. Buying from mega stores like BIC or Yodobashi is safe but they sell it 'fixed SRP' price. Some smaller retail shops may sell it cheaper or more expensive depends where you go.
2. Have to ask.
3. English manual can download from net, English language menu settings are preset in all models, just ask the salesman to set it for you.

Sony PnS have English menus even if its a Japanese set, you just need to set it to English in the options.

Bought a Sony A700 before, and the menus were not able to change to english! So double check with them, I asked for Sony to install a new firmware with english but they refused....

I bought online, so didn't have chance to check :-(

Why not just buy in Singapore, or even at the airport (tax-free), and have peace-of-mind?

And you can use it while on your trip, without worrying about basic things like whether your camera have English menu language settings, or will be covered by warranty or not?
