just want to ask:

is there a shop here that allows trading cameras?

for example, if i have a Nikon D5000 and want to trade in it to a Nikon D90, is it possible?

where and how much would be the devaluation of the D5000?

When doing trade in, the 2nd hand camera shops will usually offer you very very low trade in value. You will be better off selling the camera on BnS, then topping up and buy the camera of your choice.

personally i have no problems with my d5000. i like it that's why i bought it. i just set it as an example so it would be realistic to know if how much it would when traded in shops.

i just want to confirm if there are shops like that here. thanks for your advice. i definitely know that the type of camera does not determine the goodness of a photo. its the photographer that makes the photo good...

....besides there are features that the d5000 has that is not in the d90...in some ways the d90 just edge by a tub of water than the d5000....

It's consumer electronics. The moment you carry it out of the shop the value drops already and the moment next model is out the value drops again, heavily. That's the mechanics of the market. Since all shops want to live they cannot offer much when buying your camera, facing also the risk that they can't sell it again due to the high dynamics of the market. Check Buy & Sell for the 2nd hand market rate.

Sell it in BnS in Clubsnap, you will get better resale value

But be prepared to meet all sorts of ppl including those with "special" character :bsmilie:
