Hmmm, my FLAVOUR is strawberry .....

Why be a copy cat? Try building up your inventory kit with something you are comfortable with. As for tripods, there are so many brands, you have to go to the shops to have a look and feel, research, then buy.

You can buy own brand equipment, like Canon's tripod, Canon's fash, bags, shutter release remote, etc.

I'm a beginner too, so I built up my inventory by going the above route, and also visiting exhibitions and fairs. I got my Vanguard backpack from the last computer show in December 09. Got my tripod from Velbon there too.

As for flash, you can always go for Sunpak, which I used during my OM-10 days, and I'm sure they have got their models updated for digital SLRs now. Check out the Mass Order section of the forum to find the cheapest prices.

I would suggest only buy what you need. Do you really need softbox? wireless shutter?

Shoot with what you have and one day when you realised something cannot be done with a shot, then that is the time when additional equipment might help else it might just be a white elephant.

wow

this is like

"please help me select what to buy for breakfast, lunch and dinner"..

read reviews yourself, decide yourself, it's your money!

in general, all of the above, there are your camera brands, and there are third party brands. save for tripod. tripod good brands include manfrotto, slik, gitzo, benro, giottos.. the list goes on. basically there are different designs, different budgets.

for bags, lowepro, tamrac, billingham, etc.. why not you just go to THIS SITE:

http://www.warehouseexpress.com/Home/default.aspx

they have many brands based on category, the site generally has reputable brands so you can think about it.

there are always china made alternatives. quality is marginally poorer, you pay for what you get, but if you're on a tight budget... :)

There are hundreds of brands and types of stuffs that you are looking for.

What good for others may not be good for you

What reasonable to others may not be reasonable to you

What others need may not be your need

Dude stop thinking of buying gears... take pictures and share in this forum. Slowly you will know what you need and grow from the pics that you take

:)

hey buddy, u can try reading the mass sale, alot big sale out there..

their prices are in euro?

their prices are in euro?

pounds.

but you don't have to buy from them. shipping will kill you, i think. if they even ship to singapore.

i'm afraid singapore doesn't really have something like that.
