Just found this taken in 2007 with my first camera - an Olympus PnS The uncle was picking up thrash on his little floating device :bsmilie:

Have to share this unique "watercraft" - sheep skin float which I saw in Lanzhou, Gansu. The second picture shows the loading of the sheep skin float onto the boat which ferry the pax upstream where the pax will then get on and drift downstream...looks fun. Unfortunately, I didn't wait long enough to see them drift downstream.

Thanks for contributions Marge ... I saw an old man fishing out rubbish along a river with a long bamboo pole + net in shantou as well during a recent trip. There are indeed many environment conscious folks around.
