hi, i need expert advice here from the gurus and long time hobbyists... which one is better, price wise and performance wise. nikkor 55-200mm afs Vr, or sigma 50-200mm hsm OS? thanks!

is it on the market???
i was thinking of this lens early on...

i checked out some review sites and it stated there that it was out since first week of may '09. i just dunno if it already arrived here in SG.

i never use or touch the N 55-200 vr... but from review, it is a cheap, light, good IQ and is a DX lens.. other than that… I know nothing…

just dun know how will S55-200 os will match N 55-200 vr…

I would appreciate sigma will put their OS technology in their 70-200 and 70-300… this will be fun to know…

i would absolutely go for the 70-300mm sigma if they put OS in it... i had the 55-200mm vr nikkor before, it was sharp.

this picture was taken using nikkor 55-200mm vr. sadly i have to sell it away to fund an upgrade, because of some fraud story regarding 2nd hand equipment which i will post on another thread, anyways... am just wandering wether the sigma 50-200mm hsm os would be faster in lowlight, coz the nikkor 55-200mm vr is slow in lowlight condition...

yup... OS + HSM for 70-300 will be a good lens...
still wonder the difference between HSM and NOne HSM 70-300 apo... any idea??

as far as i know, the APO version has 3(if am not mistaken) low dispersion glasses... and of course, for the HSM (hypersonic motor) it can AF on the nikon D40, 60, and 5000... here's my shot using the sigma 70-300mm APO DG macro.

taken at full 300mm range, handheld... nyways, it'd be more better if it has OS thats why am lookin between the nikkor 55-200mm AFs VR and the sigma 50-200mm HSM OS...
