bros,we here means LFC lah...:sticktong imagining if o'neill bcoms LFC manager...hmmmmm....nah...Rafa is the best around...

take out lucas & kuyt goals lastnite & our goal difference is lesser...weldone kuyt & lucas...

correct. we're LFC. but dirty kite n lucas doesn't make up LFC. neither does raf999.

we can do without them and we're still LFC. i will still wave my LFC scarf when i watch the team play, with or without dirty kite, lucas, abalone, raf999, stevie G etc.

its the fans and the history of the club that makes the club so speshow. players n managers come n go. but the club will always remain and so too, the fans.

i'm never a fan of dirty kite, despite him scoring some goals for us. i will never be a fan of dirty kite becos he is simply not good enough to play for the club but of cos, everyone has their own views, likewise raf999.

i've seen really bad players for LFC esp. during the reign of graeme souness. dirty kite is a striker yet he has become a utility player. y

this season is a good fight. we only lost twice(to some KKJ clubs like boro!) and yet we can't win the title.

y?

we drew too many games at home where we shud haf slaughtered the opposition.

y is that so?

the tactics and style of play is way too negative. important players were marked out as we become too predictable as we play 4-5-1 and opposition simply marked out torres with very rough play.

we can never be too sure if o'neill will make a beta gaffer at Anfield but maybe 2 yrs later we will know.

this season is a case of so close yet so far.

A nighmare best to be forgotten, I still wake up in the middle of the night and ask my wife: "Is it true Liverpool bought Michael Thomas and Speedy!!!". Pls do not mention him again.

> y is that so?

I think Rafa missed the point in the earlier seasons that in EPL you have to attack to win the League.. True he got the defense all sorted out but it took him a while to get the attack going.. On the other hand, since I do like to try and understand his tactics this year there was this madness called Barry (which almost cost us Alonso) and someone else by the name of Keene (boardroom pie in their faces)...

And also, attack players cost more than defenders in my humble opinion (consider the value of Torres, Gerrard, Rouney, etc). Last year we got Torres, hopefully this summer one more good winger and one more attacker (in the level of Torres, not of Peanuts - especially now that Agger has signed a new contract).. and who knows, maybe next year is MUFC - LFC 1-6 in Old Trafford :)

Hyypia to join Bayer Leverkusen at end of season
:cry::cry:

Veteran Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia will join German side Bayer Leverkusen on a two-year deal in the summer.

The Finn, who has been at Anfield for 10 years, made his debut for the Reds in August 1999. Hyypia has made 317 league appearances for Liverpool and was a key member of the side which won the FA Cup, Worthington Cup and UEFA Cup in 2001.

A report on the official Liverpool website, read: "Hyypia underwent a medical with the German outfit this morning and will link up with his new team-mates in the summer for the start of pre-season training.

"The Finnish international has earned legendary status at Anfield for the part he has played in the club's many successes over the past decade - and he will leave Merseyside with the best wishes of every Liverpool supporter."

Hyypia explained his reasons for joining the Bundesliga club on the Leverkusen website: "The discussions with Bayer were very positive. They gave me the feeling they wanted to sign me," he said.

"I look forward to the task in Leverkusen and hope that we will be successful together."

Bayer's sporting director Rudi Voller was delighted to have snared the experienced defender.

He said: "Sami will bring experience and presence to our young squad."

dun worry bro rodz!

i still dislike dirty kite and still belif that he is as lousy as mark walters and michael thomas were for LFC but it is ok becos he is still scoring goals but tat won't change my view of him.

even though he might b the most hardworking footballer in the history of LFC. heck, pay me 20k a week, i will also run down all the grass blades in Anfield just for u.

Com'on you REDS!!

let us concentrate on rebuilding for next season.

as for raf999 and his crazy view that we still can catch manCircle, outstanding. i salute his optimism.

LUCAS FOR SALE?

We know that Rafa needs to sell before he can buy and one of the players earmarked for a move is fan favourite Lucas Leiva. The Daily Mirror claim he will fetch around £6m and that clubs in Italy and Spain are already interested in the Brazilian, who scored his first Premier League goal for the club on Sunday against Newcastle.

REDS MOVE FOR NEGREDO

Posted 04/05/09 10:28

Liverpool have joined the race to sign Almeria star Alvero Negredo, who admits he would love the chance to move to Anfield.

Negredo has been one of the real stars of La Liga this term with 19 goals for unfashionable Almeria.

In his two seasons with Almeria he has now bagged 32 goals and his exploits have not gone unnoticed.

Fulham made an unsuccessful effort to sign him in January, while Aston Villa are also keeping a watching brief.

Liverpool are now ready to make a move for the player, although his situation is somewhat complicated in that Real Madrid have first option on him until the end of June.

He was with Real Madrid - albeit mainly their second team - before he joined Almeria, but they inserted a buy-back clause of £4.4million which they are now likely to activate.

This will mean they can sell him on, with reports suggesting they would want £9.8million and it seems Liverpool would be willing to pay this sum.

Negredo, at just 24, represents real potential and Benitez is keen on taking him to England.

The player himself has revealed that Liverpool have made contact.

"To play next to Fernando Torres at Anfield is a dream and any player would accept that," he told skysports.com.

"But I prefer to talk about reality and I have not spoken with Rafa Benitez, but I do know that some contact exists between the clubs."

Negredo concedes that Real Madrid will ultimately decide where his future lies.

"My future depends on Real Madrid, but I believe that this summer I will be out of Almeria," he continued.

"I am grateful to Almeria because they have given me my chance to play in the Primera Liga.

"But it is logical that I am interested in playing in the Premier League and especially Liverpool.

"I believe that playing in England would be a great chance for me as this league is a sensational place for forwards."

Rafa has got to say that 1stly,its a mental war of words to catch manure offguard,if can lah....2ndly,so that LFC will play at the best possible level so that should manure drop points, which i doubt so,LFC can capitalise. Imagine if we only lose 2 games this season, this will spur our team to perform better next season... i'm glad we have a very positive manager...100% behind him:bsmilie:
