but recently in SG its been amazing scorching in the early afternoon, some easy to drink beer sure feels good~
warsteiner seems very similar to boags, its a german beer, grab one if theres one within range ;)

found fruit beers so sweet that the alcohol bitterness cant be detected haha~

My Favorite beers so far- Asahi, Sapporo, Edinger and stella artois.

yes. 36 deg. it was 46 a few saturdays ago...

times like these, Singapore feels like a winter wonderland in the afternoon.

:D Atleast there are many trees here to neutralize the weather, and pollution is really controlled.

Veltins pilsner, franziskaner weissbier, Erdinger Dunkel Hefeweizenbier, Alsterwasser, n for the carnival mood earlier this Monday, Kölsch

well. for me, it depends on my mood.

I just avoid Tiger like the plague.

and funny how Fosters is sold as an Aussie beer, but no sane Australian has heard of it. I later found out the taste is manufactured for the export market only, and that local Aussies who have access to it in some parts of the nation liken it to drinking pee.

that's strange. fosters sponsors so many big sporting events in aussie, esp in sydney and melbourne. what kind of aussie u been hanging out with huh?

it's not strange. Fosters is for the export market. why would anybody want to drink Fosters when they have access to other brews like VB/XXXX/Carlton/Tooheys is really beyond me.

just to quote Wikipedia,

taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fosters_Beer

While popular in many countries, particularly where it is brewed locally, Foster's Lager does not enjoy widespread success in Australia. As a bottled beer produced by the Foster's Group (formerly the Carlton United Beverages group (CUB)) it is rarely promoted in Australia. Once a "premium" brand, Foster's Lager has been bypassed in favour of the Foster's Group's favoured premium brands of Carlton Crown Lager and Stella Artois.[7][8]

Australians are both parochial and provincial about their beers; few beers are popular Australia-wide. The top selling beers in each state are:[citation needed]

* New South Wales: Tooheys; Victoria Bitter
* Queensland: XXXX; Victoria Bitter; Tooheys
* South Australia: Coopers; West End
* Tasmania: Cascade Draught; Boags Draught
* Victoria: Victoria Bitter; Carlton Draught; Melbourne Bitter
* Western Australia: Swan; Emu; Tooheys

In Australia until the end of the 1970s, Foster's Lager was a reasonably popular bottled and canned beer with a somewhat premium image. Then in the early 1980s there were major changes in the Australian brewing industry, including the merger of Castlemaine (Brisbane), Swan (Perth) and Toohey's (Sydney) into a national brewing group, as a result of acquisitions by Perth entrepreneur Alan Bond. In Queensland the high-volume Power's brewery was established by local entrepreneur Bernie Power.

Faced with inroads into its non-Victorian markets, Carlton and United Breweries (CUB) reviewed its product range and attempted to re-position some of its brands. So Foster's Draught was introduced, served on tap alongside established draught brands such as Castlemaine XXXX and Toohey's Draught. Despite some initial success, bolstered by heavy advertising, the brand did not prove popular and was eventually withdrawn from sale. Arguably, at the end of this failed exercise Foster's Lager was no longer viewed by consumers as a "premium" brand, and has not been promoted in Australia recently.

The Foster's Group has tended to promote the brands of Carlton Draught (mainstream market) and Victoria Bitter (working class male market).[9] As an "also-ran", Foster's Lager will no doubt be brewed as a bottled and canned beer in Australia for the foreseeable future, at least for sentimental reasons. These days (2007), it is relatively difficult to find in smaller bottle shops, and is seldom found on tap.

Power's Brewery, south of Brisbane, was taken over by CUB[10] and is now used to brew Victoria Bitter and other Foster's Group brands in Queensland, (including Foster's Lager).

I kid you not. I've been in Australia for a long time now, and I can count the number of times I have seen Fosters for sale in a watering hole/bottle shop with the amount of digits I have on my body. things might be different further up north like in sunny QLD, but down south in VIC/NSW/SA... I'm telling you, your prospects of finding gold is much better than finding Fosters! (=
