18-55 is usually the cheapest option and you will soon find out your shooting style..
and from then on buy what you need to buy.

Beside the Canon EFs 18-200 F/3.5-5.6 IS, You can also try the Tamron AFs 18-200 F/3.5-6.3 (No IS) New about S$400 with 3yr warranty. Cheap and good as I own one too. The photo from it is sharp and the colour is good...:thumbsup:

Hmm, I'm still thinking of getting a suitable lense, beside the kit lense (for Canon EOS450D). Even though I'm new, I kind a wish to try using a better lense.
if the combination of EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM + EF S 55-250 f/4-5.6IS, what do you guys think?
