Extended warranty for Kit Lens and Lens

I was just registering my Canon Camera and Kit Lens and lens 75-300mm...i realised u can get extended warranty for the lens. My camera comes with bundled extended warranty from harvey normal but not my lens.

Should i get a lens extended warranty?

Is it? I understand from Harvey norman that extended warranty repairs will be done by Canon after the 15 mths original warranty. Just hv to call Harvey and then send the faulty set to Canon for repairs.

but if they say so then okay-lah. doesnt hurt to confirmed with Canon direct in any case.

since u mentioned i just emailed to canon to double check...but now i only hv 15 mths warranty for my lens...thinking should i extend it

but imo if the lens is well taken of, the extended warranty won't be useful in anyways.

i think 60 for the 18-55mm len

usually true for manual lenses but now that got all sorts of technology in the lens like motors, shake reduction and so on.... $60 doesnt seem a lot does it for 2 years extra warranty especially if it gets used often.

I just spoke to Canon Cust Service and wow amazing ...i emailed them last nite and they replied and called me up this morning. Super fast service.

The lens extended warranty will be cheaper by 20 to 30 if i buy within 14 days of registering for the warranty online and after which i can register within one mth before my 15 mths warranty expires.

I wish the telecommuinications companies SINGTEL and STARHUB can provide such fast service too
