a 3rd alternative airline would be airasia but its depart from KL

so that is a little bit of a slog unless you plan on a day or 2 holiday in KL before the Cambodia trip

I booked Jetstar's Jetsaver..... Yea can carry 20kg in too.. but the **** thing is... they gt problems with their booking engine thus my online ticket states I still need to pay when transaction has gone through (my bank told me:bsmilie

I hear that there is no visa or visa fees for Singaporeans and Malaysians entering Cambodia.... if true thats $$$ saved

sharing my experience when i was there last year, by jetstar.

no visa or visa fees for singaporeans, and also applies for all ASEAN citizens i think.

on arrival at siem reap airport, as u walk from ur plane into the arrival hall, u may see a queue. this is for visitors who needs a get a visa on arrival. u need not join the queue if u do not need a visa. u can proceed straight to the immigration counter to do the clearance.

for departure out of siem reap, the sequence, u get your boarding pass, pay ur airport tax USD25 with ur boarding pass, and finally clear custom / immigration.

for those who will be travelling by jetstar like i did, at the departure hall, i only found the monitors telling you which row / counter to go for major airlines, but not jetstar. They may have improved it since.

OK people, the trip is oversubscribed....... will release extra spots only if there are withdrawals

I really cannot add on additional bodies due to several reasons:

1. too big a group size might unsettle the environment , we'll like to keep the impact of photographers to a manageable level with the kids and locals in temples/villages/schools

2. I dont want to end up being a flag waving Tour Guide ...... ha ha I'm a paying participant myself.

p/s For those who are going a day or 3 earlier, you can stay where ever you like but the HQ and accomodation during the trip itself will be at the Golden Angkor 1 . You can choose to stay here too if you are arriving a few days earlier...... saves you the trouble of changing hotels....... check with me as the date draws closer..... I should be able to sqeeze out a special price for you from the hotel.

Is anyone interested to fly in by Silkair? The Silkair price is S$359 (2 to go) vs S$325 for Jetstar, but you will be going on Saturday and have to stay 1 more day as the Silkair Return flight is on Monday.
