I don't really see Canon is in any danger of falling behind. :dunno:

although I don't really agree but here are some of the comments I keep seeing in these forum that I would like to quote:

1)its the photographer, do semi-pro/advance amateur really judge a camera by its features alone?

2)its the system that we are buying, not just a camera. will one sell his existing system just because the other camp has a better feature camera? probably a few but majority will just stick to their current brand. its not like the current canon 5D/40D are suck, yes? the D300 gave the Nikon fans lots of reason to stay and also some newbie but that wont change much on the current market share.

IMO, Canon was always far ahead from the birth of DSLR. the other brand were just playing catch up and they eventually did. will Canon be so nervous that they need to jeopardizes their 18months schedule and push out the 50D when 40D are less than a year old? I would guess not but thats just my guess.
