btw, saxon,
dont give up thinking of a ride.
when you get your dream DSLR setup, you'll need a ride to bring it around.
nothing beats the convenience of having your own ride.
and though it deems 'unaffordable' to you now, all you'll need to do is to save up for the downpayment.do not take high loan.
pay a minimum of 30%, and that'll bring your instalments per mth down considerably.
all the above, of course, is only applicable if you know you wont be out of job for a while.
else, it's a risk you'll have to take.
you can do it lah.and so can everyone who's gonna take their D test in this thread.
ALL the BEST guys.
how much on average does it cost to get a license now?
i remembered my time, which i took in BBDC, was about 1.8k all in all.
I already paid BBDC enough to get a D300 with some spares, maybe for a MB-D10.
That's one the reason why I ended up bought a car myself when I got my license. I collected my car less than 2 months after my driving test, never drive in between the period other than used my brother's car to learn how to go into a multi-storey carpark and how to do reverse parking in 45 degree angle. Also never go up in a highway before!
However, due to poor parking skill, scatched my car just on the second day while try to reverse park after work. It was damn heartache man!!!
actually in tighter carpark...what i do is to pull the handbrakes and let the car skid a bit so the back is easier to get in...after a while you will get the hang of it...

:bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes:
u should upload a clip of you doing it in youtube.will hit a million views.
W...o...o...h! Drift. Must teach us some day bro.
The tyres will play a part too right? Do you need to accelerate a lot when you pull the hand brake?
But I don't think this is healthy for the tires, right? Anyway, after a while, I don't have any problem doing reverse parking in 45 degrees now, in fact, often I can be quite accurate and park right at the center spot of the parking lot.. though sometime still need minor adjustment lah... Hehe...actually in tighter carpark...what i do is to pull the handbrakes and let the car skid a bit so the back is easier to get in...after a while you will get the hang of it...
Later you fall asleep, how?
Haha... Nothing happen of course, to the Subaru or my car, cause it was really a very gentle bump. I was quite amazed with my control as well. Hehe...wah... haha.. nothing happen to the subaru right? apart from kena bump? :bsmilie:
i total spent abt $1.8K including test car etc..
Once I was at Suntec City, one stupid Subaru driver parked at the open space just oppsite my parking lot and I had a hard time to drive out due to lack of distant and angle to turn. Fortunately the driver wasn't in the car, I had to do many small turn in a ver tight spot and actually had to use my bumper to push a little on the Subaru in order to get out of the parking lot. All the drivers on the lane waiting to pass me watched with their mouth wide open as I intentionally 'bang' on the Subaru. Haha.... :bsmilie:
