Hi All,

I've an option of photographing few sports events organised in my company. The events are Tennis/Golf/Snooker/Badminton.

I've D70s with 70-300,18-55,50mm1.8D, and no flash.

I need some expert advice on the Indoor photography - Snooker/Badminton. Will the lighting in the indoor badminton halls/pool halls,is good enough to get some awesome pics?

Also, For golf and Tennis, What are the pre-steps I should follow, in case if it is after
rain/before rain - to be precise, too cloudy/dark.

Also, Do is it addvisable to use a Monopod for sports photgraphy to avoid vertical shake?

of course I donn wanna use flash on the players face on any of the events.

you valuable inputs are most welcome.

Thanks

got a idiot offical during my sports day use flash...cause distraction...wanted to slap him sia...

i think ur gonna need a fast zoom lens. Cos firstly u cant be standing too close to them. and unless u wanna distract them u might not be able to use flash. Esp for the snooker or badminton.

Thanks West! the rainy/coudy qwestion is on how to improve the pic quality on a dark mood!? :)

reg the monopod, for any sports - is it advisable to use a monopod?

Thanks again!

I took some photos of my colleagues playing pool these 2 days... i think a lens of at least
f/2.8 is needed but then maybe my recreation room as bright as a proper pool room ?:dunno:
