I am red/green deficient and personally wondering how many of you out there suffer from the same problem.

Million Dollar Qn: HOW DO YOU POST PROCESS ACCURATELY???

Please enlighten me on some tips and tricks to get round this handicap!!!

I am a complete failure on Ishihara's Colour Test.

Can't see anything:

It's a nightmare trying to get the skin tones spot on.

Please don't advise me to stick to just B&W.....heh.

I see '25':

i share the same ting as u red/green problem too manz....
got problem with the ishihara too when i tried to figure it out sometime back, cant c any numbers in it

the best you can do is ask someone you trust for their opinion on colour... that's what some colour deficient pro photogs do...

Didn't know I got so many kakis out there :p

Those who have problems our colors problem are called color blind
Those who only see in black & white are called color defective
Medical terms don't make sense huh?

I can just make out these 2 tests; the others are totally off for me.

Go with your instincts. Colour mismatches can sometimes be a pleasant surprise.

Unfortunately the only surprises I get are the responses from my friends...."EH...why your talent look like LOBSTER AH??? SO REDDISH!"

Uh no. Not at all. But is the top picture what our colour deficient friends see?

Actually, I am still able to discern the vague shape of the numbers for 6, 56 and 25 in the top picture.

u can look for tunster. he's mastered photoshop color management thru color numbers.

You are right.

Colours can be managed by tagging it in "Numbers".

In fact, you are "Better" than the normal colour vision guys in terms of accuracy.

Professional Photoshop: The Classic Guide to Color Correction (5th Edition) and Photoshop LAB Color: The Canyon Conundrum and Other Adventures in the Most Powerful Colorspace by Dan Margulis teach colour correction with numbers. The author mentioned at a number of places in these books that he trained a number of people who were colour-blind and the results ranged from acceptable to excellent.

Thanks for the Links ...

It depends on what you want to achieve knowing that by and large no two outputs look alike. This is especially the case when comparing between what one sees on the screen and what one gets from printouts.
