Playstation 3 owners - mouse and keyboard play?

Could'nt resist the itch and got the PS3 during the IT show

Heard that PS3 allows first person shooting games to be played using keyboard and mouse, just like PC FPS. Do I just get a USB keyboard + mouse to do that or must I get some special gadgets or something? :dunno:

no PS3 yet, but should be... since PS2 already using usb kb & mouse for navigation.
