we took the game to them. we looked the only team to win it.

we have shown we can match the top 3 sides and we just need to find that finisher and the prem is ours next season. everyone played well even the just back sissoko though his passing was haywire today but he still try to win the ball back.

It was a good game.
Pool lack clinical finish, with all the possession and threat, they only came close on less than 5 occasions.
Utd has only 2 clear chances and scored one.
As an Utd fan, I thought we rode our luck and Liverpool still has the dodgy keeper problem after so many years...sigh

I can only remember 2 occasions that they came close. Riise freekick and Crouchie's shot that VDS saved.

It is true that we had the better luck and scored. For all their time spent attacking Man Utd, Liverpool did not really test VDS. And considering Man Utd's not so good defence, it should be easy to breach and test VDS more often. Surely one shot will go in. Fulham tested VDS much more last weekend and they scored one and almost score on many more occasions.

Failure to defend a freekick cost them dear and they can only blame their defence. I dun think the goalkeeper is to blame. C. Ronaldo's shot is very fast and powerful and I think many keeper will spill it. Liverpool employed the zonal marking system and no one was close enough to o'shea when he scored. Saha was even in his way, blocking the goal.
