How do i crop a picture to its subject without disturbing the aspect ratio???

in photo shop, you can set the aspect ratio to Normal, Width x Height or by fixed size.
I belief the one you want is width x height. (usually I set as 3 x 2)
I believed that you maybe using some generic program.
Try holding down the shift button while draggin.

1. Open an image
2. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M) from the tool
3. On top, select the Style as Contrained Aspect Ratio
4. Set the ratio values like Width: 3 and Height: 2 for 3:2
5, Point your cursor on the photo, select the area from top left to bottom right
6. Go to Image > Crop
7. Done
