Composition and framing is well done. Should get some one to walk on the path or sit on the bench for the mood. Better still with an umbrella or a thrench coat. But then again, you may be alone and willl have to wait a long time for people to walk by.
Again... ytou are right abt not having peoiple walking as it's pretty cold 5-10degree i recall and not many people walking ard. Thanks for the comments.. Keep it coming

hey, although the framing isn't that perfect it is starting to feel like 'wine' :bsmilie: consider putting it is a nice frame border, may actually enhance the picture.

yup... initally when i review this pic.. i also find the framing may not be that good but now the more i see it, the more i like it.... :)

give it a nice frame, see if it works ... something classy and cold to bring out the wintry feel ;)

I look at this image, and I say, how would it look if I crop away the tree trunk on the left, leaving the branches, and then crop off the bottom of the image by about 10%, to make the image of the tower a little more intimate?

Well.. i wouldn't really consider cropping away the tree trunk as i felt it's part of the framing... bottom maybe :p

It is OK.

For me, I would crop off the tree trunk and the bottom patch of lawn (I think that what it is), because to my eyes, they do not add to the composition. The dark patch of the tree trunk "unbalances" the left and the right. It has little details in it self to be interesting. While the lower portion appears to lead to the tower, there is too much of it.

If you have one with out the tree as a frame it may be better. The frame competes for my attention and it does not help that the effying tower is so desat that it looks dreamy while the branches looks etched out and so solid by comparison. But this what strikes me as I look at this. For you it may be different.

Have quite a few without tree framing but i preferred this... Without the framing, the mood and the season cannot be portrayed..well, at least thats how i feel...Thanks all for the comments... keep it coming.

 Framing is nice and gives a different perspective of the eiffel tower. Exposure is is very nice and captures the mist just right.

:thumbsd: IThe shot doesnt make me feel like this is what Paris would appear like in winter. It lacks some tell tale signs of winter season. The desaturated colours dont work for me in context of the theme. For me it is like Paris during the days of the black plague. Desolate, deserted, lifeless.

just my .02$

sorry, i dont think you have capture anything more than a snap shot. lack of new perspective. i dont get the winter feel. its not the sort of photo i will remember seeing after few hours.

Paris... winter in paris is not an easy subject to be honest because there's no snow, plenty of people and it's not very cold...

In any case, given it a try and so if it don't work... still fine with me as long as i like it. Thanks for the comments. :p
