No AF with LA-EA4 + Sony 50mm f1.4 on A7cm2?

Help help! How is it that LA-EA4 + Sony 50mm f1.4 can AF on my older A7m2 but not on newer A7cm2?

Any one has any experience? Tried to follow this https://www.sony.com.sg/electronics/support/articles/00022419
But AF mode remains MF greyed out in A7cm2 with LA-EA4 + Sony 50mm f1.4.

I have a few great A mount glasses, don't want to waste them

Hate to give you bad news but confirm with your own eyes. Both 50mm f1.4 and the 50mm F1.4 Z ssm motor does not AF.

Thanks for the info. Disappointed man, why like that. It works fine with my old trusty A7m2. Hope Sony can have some firmware fix and give the A mount lens a new life.
