Hi All,
Nightmare to notice this on a 18-200 (about well since nex5 days).

Wondering is it worth to sent to sony for rescue? Fugus is on the 2nd layer len ....

If it is expensive lens then you might want to send to service center. But if it is a cheap lens then you can DIY. You need to buy some tools like spanner wrench and rubber rings. To remove fungus you need hydrogen peroxide 3% solution. Commonly used to perm hair?

Spanner wrench .

Video of how to clean fungus.

Bear in mind there are electronic assembly but that is in the other end of the lens . Please search if there is a tear down video of your lens. In general it is similar to other brands. Disassemble at your own risk. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply guess better to send n for cleaning if possible and clean the sensor as well.

You can either bring it to the Sony service centre or the camera shops in Peninsula Plaza. Best to have the fungus removed before it gets worse. Do you not keep you lenses in a dry cabinet?
