Watching it now on PC.
Super boring for first 78 minutes, especially the fake torture scenes by US CIA that look like child's play compared to what the Japanese really did to their WW2 victims, or what Saddam and Gaddafi did to their political foes.

The BORING movie picks up speed from 79th minute on...and is more watchable from that point.

The scene of US seals playing horseshoe throwing in the afternoon at Afghan camp, talking freely about Osama and the mission.
No way this will happen in real life. They don't talk about it even if they knew. No leaks.

actually the chinese did more worst thing to their own race. of coz , those dark history was "censored". ever wondered why China blocked so many foreign sites. you think china block it for no reason?

What motivated Mark Bisonnette to write the book after the event. Is it money or a need to be famous or a need to claim credit?

These are military secrets not meant to be sold as books. It may endanger future missions.

Any special forces soldier or ex-soldier would have promised not to publicise such information.

It's a movie like you said.

Bring the same expectation to Olympus Has Fallen and I'm sure you wouldn't like this movie either.

For entertainment sake, I say it fulfills the requirement.
 

Thanks for reminding. I will watch that too. If it is more action less talking then it will be alright. Movies are fantasy.

Mostly action but a lot of it does not make sense if you start questioning the logic behind those moves.

Like how can you out of nowhere, fly the Spectre Gunship to the white house without being detected or questioned, way before you reach the intended destination?

And it took 15 minutes for the QRF to reach the white house, who's kidding who?

Just sit back, enjoy the blast and be entertained luh.

Just watched Olympus Has Fallen.

Predictable formula. Reminds me of those comical Hong Kong gangster movies where 1 man saves the whole world and only after he has done that, at the end of the movie, does the apparently useless Hong Kong police turn up smartly uniformed and fully armed by the hundreds in SWAT trucks with sirens blaring - left with nothing to do.

(Hercules) Charlie130 can shoot down 2 F16s who conveniently fly next to it to be shot by the Gatling gun.
Charlie130 can use flares to decoy missiles. They never heard of RBS70 which is manually laser guided and immune to flares.
A slow moving and low flying Charlie 130 (actually a sitting duck in real combat) can evade multiple guns ground fire. Only a Raptor22 can bring it down.

Lots of secret service agents stand up in the open with hand guns, to be conveniently mowed down by North Korean terrorists with AK47s and truck mounted machine gun (looks like a M2).

When one could deploy Seals on foot or by wheeled vehicles, the movie plot insists on flying them in helicopters to be shot down by remote controlled Hydra gun. The same Hydra gun that could have been used earlier by the good guys (before the terrorists took over control) to shoot down the slow moving Charlie130 - oh, the movie producer forgot about this screw up.

Nuclear missiles can be detonated remotely inside their silos by computer simply by entering 3 short codes. Ha ha, hilarious. This is the funniest.
They never heard of two man rule - authorisation of code and simultaneous manual insertion and turning of keys.

The movie grossed US$ 94 Million domestically in USA.

A Nice Comedy.

For someone who love spreading logic and rhetoric full of fallacies, you sure know how to criticise. People go watch Hollywood blockbusters is shut off brain and enjoy one, you think so much for what?
 

IIRC the Hydra 6 was brought in by the North Koreans. It was supposed to be the next-gen weapon for the US.

And, those were F22s that were shot down in the opening scenes, not F16s.

Zero Dark Thirty is only a movie. Of course cannot reveal everything. The producers would not know if the Pentagon or CIA don't tell.

100 days passed between discovering the hideout and deciding to go for OBL.

As though CIA did nothing for these 100 days except sit on their behinds. I don't think so.

Movie portrays USA (President & very senior officials) deciding to allow raid based on one low level CIA operative's hunch.
That is what Hollywood is portraying. You know better.

You don't commit that kind of risk based on many unknowns and one person's guess.

USA does not want to reveal how and with what technology or methods it confirmed 100% that OBL is in the hideout.
Probably achieved during the 100 days interval.
