For me, with holidays where I have no specific photography goals, I would go around in my X-E2 and 23mm XF f/1.4 and keep the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 as a backup.

A XF 16-55mm f/2.8 would replace the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 when it is available not because of any issues with the 18-55mm but an equivalent of 24mm in FF is my most commonly used FoV for landscapes.

For travels with specific photography goals less street photography, i'll continue to bring along my Nikon FF setup

X100 with WCL-X100
S5 Pro with Nikon 85mm F1.8 (old, but still gold).
A set of ND filters.
Monopod, if needed.
Extra batteries/SD cards.
iPad Mini Retina.

Fast and easy travel kit. All of it fits in a Hadley Pro. :)

Fuji X-E1, 10-24mm, 18-55mm kit lens. Tripod, clamp, pano head. ND filters. That's about it. :)

I once travel with XE2
35mm 1.4 , 14mm and 18mm(ended up using 18mm most of the time 90%)
Sirui T-025 tripod
i thought will be lightweight but abit regretted.

cos end up i am carrying water, umbralla etc which add up to quite some weight liao.

18-55mm will cover everything actually.

eventually will use a XF 16-55mm f/2.8 for everything

Just X100S with the converters :)

Had the X-E2 back then and if I were to think back I'd probably bring it along with the 35/1.4 , 23/1.4 plus the 18-55mm.

Been forcing myself in my daily and family outings and walks to just bring the xe1 and the 18-55... Enough for me.

Will bring the x100s for back up. I mean, somebody need to take pics of me in action....

X-T1 + 18-55 + 27mm to Taiwan recently. But in the end 18-55 on the camera most of the time for versatility.

My set up, X-T1 with 10-24 and x-pro 2 50-140. :D + X100T ;p

X-E1 + 35mm f/1.4 and 14mm f/2.8...

Was at Taiwan last week for 6D5N, humbly sharing my setup (basically everything I have...)

X-T1 + 4 batts & 2 chargers (I a bit kiasu LOL)
Zeiss Touit 2.8/12 & 1.8/32 + Konica Hexanon AR 50mm f1.4
MeFOTO BackPacker Travel Tripod (Not as light as you might think, around 1kg, but very manageable hehehe...)

The truth is... I only have chance to use the 50mm on a few occasion (usually when my wife was resting on chair/bench LOL, and some portrait and flower shoots)

I found out I used 12mm A LOT!!! As you might have already figured it out, a lot of places are usually in very tight space, or you need to cover very wide landscape (Taipei 101). But I really enjoyed my time with the 50mm, maybe the time is TOO precious LOL

I'm in the process of uploading the photos to flickr (very slowww...), so if you guys wanna know what a great job the Zeiss Touit combo can do, feel free to drop by!!!

P.S. the Fuji 23mm might be a better replacement for the Zeiss 32mm, but who knows?? Hehehehe...

My last year Taiwan/Japan's trip was:

A7 + Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f1.8 and 135mm f2.8.
X-E2 + Samyang FE 8mm f2.8 and XF 55-200mm.

Quite a painful and unbalanced setup LOL.

X pro 1 with either VC 35mm f1.2 or Fuji 35mm f1.4.
Ricoh GXR 28mm A12.

18-135mm. Wide, tele, macro all in.
If need a faster prime add a 23mm for night.

Depending on the type of travel is it family trip vs. Photographic tour etc. if traveling light. My pref is to go w primes - 14mm / 23mm or 35mm / 56mm.

If want range coverage:
Option 1
10-24mm / 35mm / 56mm or

Option 2
14mm / 18-55mm / 56mm or 55-200mm

Depends. When mountain biking, just the X30 and a waterproof chest mounted pouch hanging off the hydration bag.

When doing a photo trip, tripod, 4 batts, XT1 with X30 as backup, and one of the following lens combinations:

1. 10-24, 18-55, 50-200, 35
2. 23, 35, 50-200

Thinking of getting the 14 to supplement combo 2.
