NPH 400 is more suited for portraits as it gives neutral skin tones.
For sceneries, you'd be better off using Velvia or Provia 100/400 if you need the extra speed. Ektachrome e100vs is quite a good choice as well, with similar colour saturation as Velvia.
 

Slides - Fuji Velvia 50, Provia 100
Negatives - Fuji Superia 200 X-TRA, Superia 400 X-TRA, Superia 800 X-TRA

Fuji film(200, 400, press 800) for general shoot-out.

Agfa Vista for wedding.

Konica century 1600 for night shoot without tripod.

Illford 400 C41 for B & W.

Slides - Fuji Velvia (i like the colour)
Slides - High speed - Fuji Provia 400F
Negs - Fuji NPH 400, superia 200, 800

the best is kodak MAX-400..:D
