NUDE : dignity from within
Young NTUC Photography Competition and Exhibition


A photography competition taking place over 2 months, resulting in an exhibition in the National Geographic Store at Vivocity. Organised by Young NTUC with support from National Geographic Store, the intention is to blend the art of photography with recognition of all working people in Singapore.


Turn on your exploratory radar to spot those who take pride in their everyday job. Entries should portray the enthusiasm, dedication & professionalism in their job.



RULES
NUDE : dignity from within Photography Competition begins 15th November 2010 at 12:01 am. All Entries must be received by 20th January 2011 before 11:59 pm Singapore Time.


WHO MAY ENTER
All Residents of Singapore are eligible. Organizing members and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a prize.

HOW TO ENTER

Enter electronically; please submit your entries via registration and submission webpage www.yntuc.sg/nude. Include your full name, address, NRIC/FIN number and contact number.

Each participant is allowed to enter a max of 3 entries, after which subsequent entries will be forfeited. Incomplete submission will also be forfeited. Images formatted in JPEG measuring at least 1,000 pixels on their long dimension are preferred. Images may be color profiled in sRGB, Adobe-1998, or not color-managed.


Participants are required to produce high resolution (300ppi) Images formatted in JPEG or TIFF measuring at least 3,500 pixels on their long dimension are preferred of their entry should it be selected for the final round of judging. Failing to produce the high-resolution copy will result in the forfeit of entry. No mail-in entry is available for this competition.
 

Prizes and Licenses/Release

CONTEST PRIZES:
First Prize : $2,500 + $300 Cathay Photo voucher
Second Prize : $1,500 + $200 Cathay Photo voucher
Third Prize : $1,000 + $100 Cathay Photo voucher7 x Merit Winners : $200 + $50 Cathay Photo voucher


ENTRANT LICENSES/RELEASES
By participating, rights of all entries remain to the entrants. Should any of the entries be shortlisted in Round One (Top 60) the entrants grant the Organizer and their designees, licensees or affiliates (the "Authorized Parties") a non-exclusive, worldwide license, for accompanied promotional activities. In addition, each winner grants to the Authorized Parties a license for use of his/her winning entry in connection with the Photo Contest and promotion of the Photo Contest, in any media now or hereafter known, including but not limited to: publication and magazines showcasing the winners; exhibit of the work at the photo exhibition. Such winners' license is a non-exclusive, worldwide, 36 months (beginning the date winners are notified) license to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries.

Authorized Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.

Heard limited to only 80pax.... It is really an event not to be missed!

some of us still do. certain effects only film can get. cross processing on film is one. the grain from film another. some things digital still cant replicate perfectly yet:bsmilie:

Agreed!.... ;)
 

But my pesonal feel is that the effects of Photoshop outweighs film in all ways.

Eh, does it means that the photos must be taken between this period of time?

I had email the organizer a few days back regards to your question (same as mine).... the competition starts from 15 Nov 2010 but the photos need not be taken within these 2 months..... it can be quite sometime back but of course not need to comply with their themes will do..... ;)
