Hi, my first try with zoom burst, tried it on a xmas tree in taka,

was quite excited when i saw the effects it has on the xmas tree lights. :bsmilie:

looks magnificant but otherwise kinda useless. unless ur doing abstract, i would prefer a normal shot;)

I like this shot. The framing is very different and its an interesting angle to the same old perhaps over shot xmas tree.

The highlights in the background are a little distracting, otherwise its good. Might want to try a wider aperature/longer focal length lens to throw the background out of focus so the highlights become less prominent.

just curious.....was the zooming at wide to tele or tele to wide?

Thanks Ortega, hmm. any suggestions on the composition itself? cuz i cannot really think of any others now besides placing it in the middle..

Hi Righton, itz from Tele to wide. but i was trying also, so not sure if there are other methods or correct techniques.

I did something like - Half press to focus, zoom out and press fully

agreed with ortega. good technique. composition, maybe cropped it all the way down to just the zooming lights and u have an abstract ... can do the same with PS and then u can have layers and even more compositional possibilities.
