Giving away spoilt (or very likely spoilt) CDROM and CDRW drives (refer to picutre below):

Made in Malaysia, October 1997
12V 0.9A, 5V 1.0A

2) Wearnes Peripheral International CDS-32x (CDROM)
Made in Malaysia, Feb 1998
12V 1A, 5V 1A

3) Smart 100x (CDROM)
Made in Taiwan, Aug 1997
12V 1.7A, 5V 0.35A

4) Sony CDU5211 (CDROM)
Made in China, Dec 2000
12V 1.5A, 5V 1.0A

5) Wearnes Peripheral International CDRW-1622 (CDRW)
Made in Japan, Oct 1998
Current requirement not shown.

Those who need them for your mod projects or to replace your broken bezel can get from me at Bedok, Tampines, SLS or Funan.

The magnets rated how many gauss? Permanent magnets or electromagnets?

Yup that and the ones in the hard disk too. Small but very powerful.
 

no idea about the gauss rating, but it's enough to play "rainbow" on my crt :bsmilie:

they're "rare earth" or "neodynium" magnets, good to play with. just dont let those bigger ones from hard disks pinch you, or else it's OUCH! :D
 

Arh.... I'll take them out and design some physics experiments for students to have fun if no one wants them. :D
