Wow, this is nice! Is there any technical name for it?

ya! What's the difference between Montage and Collage? haha

Hi iMbEst,

Please do not hot link to a picture unless you are the copyright holder.

You can provide the URL instead of using the IMG tag.

Thanks.

i download it, edit it, and upload to imageshack one.

am I one of the copyright owner?:dunno:

No you are not the copyright holder, unless you created the image or have purchased the copyright from the original owner.

This is even worse I think - Copying and modifying without permission and then displaying without giving proper credit.

Please edit your post to provide just the URL to the ORIGINAL image.

If this is not done in a short time I will reomve this thread.

Thanks!

frankly speaking, i just found it in http://www.flickr.com really have no idea where is the original picture. Basically I did a screen capture, 4 of them, cut them out, put them together and form a bigger picture.

The picture is already resized.

Screen capture works like camera, if I were to shoot a painting, you cannot say i infringe its copyright leh.

You're joking right?

in fact shooting someone else painting w/o permission is copy right infringement.

My layman understanding is as long as your products can be identified and related to the original copy, then you can't claim it as yours.

Ever wondered why you can't take pictures in an art museum exhibition?

its amazing to see how a question can be veered out of topic so fast.

A better word for it is a contact sheet, otherwise, montage/collage would do fine too.
