As per subject heading, what are your views of MiC HDB flats?

[edit] My bad for not explaining what I meant by "MiC HDB". Nowadays you see a lot of Chinese main and sub contractors building HDB flats. While foundations and prefabricated walls may come from same source. But will interior materials such as window frames, doors frames, wall finishing, water proofing, pipings, etc and workmanship take a hit. Also, I think nowadays HDB comes furnished with flooring, wardrobes and kitchen cabinets (not sure). Are these of good design and quality?

This thread is not about Chinese but more of HDB awarding more projects to Chinese main and sub contractors in its attempt to offer competitive pricing to the market. But are we getting value for money?

HDB flat all are "lease hold". So you are not buying it, just a long term leading.

:bsmilie: let's get more Singaporeans to become construction workers.

recall all the students from the schools and send them to the BCA institutes to learn how to use construction machinery :)

It's good to have more Singaporeans becoming contruction workers.

At least they make stronger and tougher army unlike the pale-faced, mouse-pushing office softies who can't hold up a rifle straight. When they fire they always fire into the ground. :bsmilie:

People working for the construction industry in the "Ang moh " countries earn more than the average office workers.. the day when that happens.. maybe what u suggested might happen..

Until then.. it's all about Co$t

Shouldn't the title be MbC (Made by China/Chinese) instead of MiC (Made in China)... since when can HDB being built in SG be considered to be Made in China ??

Anyway....if TS don't like... he/she can always buy land and import worker from EU/USA/Aust/NZ/Jap/Korea or anywhere else TS like to built his/her own home... TS willing to pay... no problem lor...

read carefully, TS is seeking views from members, so far nobody post anything negative or crossing the line.

and btw, you are the first one mention anti-PRC here.
