tell that to the international tourists who are on transit in singapore. changi airport is "supposed" to be of "world-class" standard, if it doesn't have such a service which is so commonly present in countries like Hong Kong, that's sad. Note that xtemujin is stating that his overseas friends are disappointed, dun aim your flames at the wrong direction.

This I note sure... but I tink there's free access in the transit area. Can anyone confirm this?

Have been using the M1 wireless for 5 months now. Good that the 3.5G network kicks in, now I get higher speed and lower cost somemore. :)

Have you hit the 2GB limit before?

Emm.. 3.5G refers to the network. You know, 3G network of handphones?

Oh you mean THAT.

It used to be 1G limit. I don't really go over it last time, now maybe.
First they will give you a call to see whether is everything alright.
In case of a virus, then you can quickly do something about it mah.

Wireless will come soon. If u r wondering, schiphol airport in netherlands is also a top class airport ranked equally with HK. As jsbn also mentioned in the thread, Narita Airport in Japan also does not have wireless just yet.

I hope you will also appreciate what spore has to offer. Yes, of course there are areas to be improved, but dun expect instantaneous changes. I feel wireless@sg is already a great initiative with a great start.
Schiphol may be ranked high, but the luggage delivery (in the new airport) was so slow that showing me the high tech luggage delivery system n their TV's didn't change my mind that they have to change......

I lived in Holland, and used this airport since the old days, so I know the difference with now. I had to walk 30 min to the baggage area, and I still had to wait another 20-25 min for the luggage of my flight to arrive out of that 'tunnel' in the airport.......

Interestingly, Changi Airport Terminal 1 was designed as a copy of the old Schiphol (interior of Schiphol was designed by a Chinese Indonesian Goh Liang Ie).......
