will you compare gears with friends using different brands of gears?
and will you feel hurt if you got the implication you've gone wrong way?
(and your way is?)

A. Not at all
B. A little bit
C. Very much

follow up:
So far the result fits my idea:
mostly you won't feel hurt if you choose a popular brand with solid support, while minorities may be more sensitive to this issue.
for me, again just to be curious here. and maybe a bit uneasy because I guess I hurt someone without knowing it --if you read, sorry! cheer up:)

just be curious. and maybe a guide line for cross door talk:)
maybe another survey should be "should I compare at the first place?"

I thought you were talking about if I choose the wrong gear when driving :bsmilie::bsmilie:

why is there a need of such thread?

seriously, if people who love to compare gears, should get a life.

life is short, why make oneself so miserable?

stand up, take out your camera, go out and enjoy photography.

compare brands and feel hurt? :bheart:

what is that about??

so you do not compare choices before buy? with friends, or review articles?

or you buy every one coming into your eyes? and pick whatever by your hand?

no idea. I myself usually spend at least weeks to make up mind. love or not is another issue.

if you have need for a 24-70 lens. there are quite a few out there, right? what will you do?
you will walk in cathy and say take them all, or pick one based on personal preference?

what will I do? I will choose a Nikon mount lens to be used on my Nikon body and make sure it fits my wallet(this don't seem like a tough decision)...If you have picked the brand you like to use, then why feel hurt?

TS,since you said you "usually spend at least weeks to make up mind", then the more you have a clear answer for your question, right?

how did you choose Nikon at the first place?
Would you think about canon?
I myself use 2 lines of bodies, so sometime it will be a problem to me. I know some of guys use 2 or more lines.

By the way, will you feel curious sometimes whether a canon, sony, zeiss or leica 35/1.4, other than your nikkor will bring you some different feeling?

Canon will bring me the feeling of a prancing mantis.
Sony will bring me the feeling of drunken monkey.
Zeiss will bring me the feeling of flying crane.
Leica will be me the feeling of couching tiger.
And of course Nikon will bring me the feeling of hidden dragon.

Well, if you think your wallet getting too thick, then take all. Otherwise just pick the one that suits your budget?
