Will SB800 work on Nikon FM body?

My dad has a FM body..it's still in excellent condition..so thought of bringing it out to play..I've got a SB800 flash for my D70s..wonder if the flash will work on the FM body..

I dare not try it man..i'm afraid it'll spoil my SB800.. anyone tried before?:think:

Yes... in Manual mode only.

you may want to tape up the rest of the electrical contacts on the flash's mounting foot 1st.
