Too early to say, but I am leaning towards "it will be better without England"

One thing good is I can save on the StarHub subscription to watch Euro 2008. I'll just catch the result from the internet or newspaper. But I do have a soft spot for Spain, so I'll be rooting for them to do well. Torres for the golden boot award!

good thing without england cos we all know that they'll only break our hearts if they were in it...

england is boring. full of hype and hot air. :thumbsd: the epl would be really boring if not for all the foreign players.

totally agree with you:thumbsup:
EPL is success because of the foreign super players....
England is good in ADVERISEMENT only:bsmilie:

So am I....for the first time I am reluctant to pay to watch on top of the sports channel we have already paid....now with EPL season is over...I am tempting to cut my SCV subscription altogether

for now still got epl and f1 so must keep my sports subscription. skipping euro2008 though. also skipping next years champions league cos i think signing up for mio is like jumping out of the boiling pot into the fire.

Yeah. I have also thought of cancelling my sports subscription. But due to my interest in F1, I "lan lan" still have to continue to pay that cutthroat subscription.

5 more days to go!

Will it be the underdogs or favourites or will Greece retain their Title?

For me Euro will be the tournament for underdogs!:bsmilie:

SCV guys just call me saying I was very lucky and been selected to enjoy their promotion.....$10.50.......u know what....I told him to fly kite....I am not paying a $0.01 for this game... I rather watch the 4 free games from channel 001

Who cares about the English? They don't bring anything at all to the major championships.

The only reason people here care about the England team is because the EPL is shown here about 25 hours a day.

Overrated country, overrated football team. Have always been a lousy team, will always be a lousy team.

There are many excellent first class England players. The problem is they are paid too much, and play too much. IMHO With all the different leagues, there is very little downtime for their bodies to cope that's why many of them are injured. We'll see what happens under Fabio's charge - world cup 2010.

As for the title thread - Euro 2008 will be the same with or without England - many sides in Europe are divers!

Anyway am backing Portugal!

Ok today is Day one:

Time Home Away STAGE VENUE
17:00 UK Switzerland v Czech Republic Group A St Jakob Park
19:45 UK Portugal v Turkey Group A Stade de Geneve

My guess:
Switzerland 1 v Czech Republic 0
Portugal 2 v Turkey 1

Anyone else guess the score?
