In my opinion, DSLR's would be here to stay for the foreseeable future (plus minus 5 or so years). Although many people are making the jump to mirrorless, until companies can offer as wide a range of lenses and bodies at as wide a range of price points, there will be many people who will continue buying or buy into DSLR's. Sony is well on it's way to achieving this, however, there is still much to be desired, such as their lackluster APSC lens lineup and weirdly shaped bodies less suited for photography and more for videography. Looking at Nikon and Canon the same problems exist. There is either a lack of affordable bodies or a lack of affordable glass. All these ensures that DSLR's are here to stay (at least for now) and would not make a hurried exit as many assume.
