Wide-angle lenses

Hi, I have been ogling the nikkor AF 14mm f/2.8D ED for a very long while, but found the price too steep.:dunno:

Are there any similiar lense on the tamron or sigma side?

There is, at least to my knowledge, a Sigma equivalent; not sure about the price though.

Yes, both Tamron and Sigma has similar lens. Check their websites.

They should cost S$1k+.

are you looking for 35mm FF lens? if not 10-20, 12-24 would be a better choice, imho

because if you are not using FF, those are probably the widest you can get at relatively affordable prices.

google up "tokina 12-24"... loads of information comparing all the ultra wide (sigma 10-20, tokina 12-24, tamron 11-18)

Yes, lots on information on superwides... tested on Shutterbug Magazine, a certain character by the name of Ken not-so-Rockwell...
